Project Green Challenge ENG
I interviewed Grayson Kent, Project Green Challenge grand prize winner. I felt like his accomplishment was a big deal and it needed special recognition. I showed him the questions in advance, then filmed a quick interview. I grabbed some b-roll and put together a cool video showcasing Grayson. Upload coming soon.
11/30 and 12/7 shows
Kelsey has been an outstanding help coming through with scriptwriting week after week. She's the bee's knees, really. I made little b-roll for senior superlatives and it turned out great. I like fading titles much more than scrolling titles. But that's just me. Somehow, Nick Olsen and Rchael Givens were left out of this. I have no idea what happened, but we gave them their own shoutout on the 12/7 show.

Thanksgiving show
This week was a nice break from the hooplah of the last month. Kelsey has been a huge help with the script on every show - something that Charity could never do. Now we're looking to see what we'll spoof for the Christmas episode, and ahead into 2013.

Howl at the Moon show
For this show, I created the opening sequence and the background graphic. I was really involved with the advertising qaspect of this event, so I was pretty exciterd to implement Wolfcenter. The event itself wasn't that much, but I had a good time performing with Becca and being in the pizza contest. Actually, the pizza contest was bad time. I felt sick and my jaw hurt and Kelsey beat me :(
Election show
I'm glad that this show happened. Presidential elections are only every four years, so I think it was really important for us to do something special. It was politcal-themed, and included the results of the mock election.
Halloween - Scooby Doo
We spoofed the classic "Where are you Scooby Doo?" show for the Halloween episode. I was Fred and Kelsey was Daphne. We planned to have a mystery to go along with the episode, much like the battle royale in the Anchorman episode. However, we were in over our heads with how much time we had to work on it and how much we wanted to get done. It ended up not working out, but the episode was still pretty good.

I've been hearing really great things about the Anchorman episode. A lot of students have been calling it the best episode ever. I'm very pleased. Hopefully we can continue to make skits like this. It actually makes me want to write a short film. I've had a couple ideas, but nothing tangible. Nothing that I could realistically pull off. I need something simple, yet effective.

Best year yet?
With Justin as our senior editor, this year's Wolfcenter may go down as one of the best years ever. If people continue to work hard and don't slack off as the year progresses, we will continue to put out quality shows. Hopefully, we can do more spoofs like this week's Anchorman.
Preparing for the second 9 weeks
On this last day of the nine weeks, we are outlining and laying out the plan for the next few shows. The first show will be the Halloween show, which will air on the 31st. It will be a Scooby-doo parody. We'll see how that turns out. Then, we will have a short election day show on the 2nd and a Howl At The Moon show on the 9th. Whoa.

Anchorman: The Legend of Wolfcenter
This Friday (10/19) will be the most ambitious show ever aired. It will be what the Harry Potter episode could have been last year, if people had cooperated. This time, we were prepared, and with Justin in charge, production went very smoothly. With guest starts including Nick, Ian, and Principal Burgess, this episode will be packed with action and laughs. I wrote the script for the fight sequence and the anchor stories. Hopefully it all comes together.

October
Two shows ago, I put together a cold open featuring Nick Olsen and Ian Killius. It was really fun and an overall great project. It was a big hit, or so I've heard. Kelsey and I continue to do great every week and it's always good time. This year is better than last year in a lot of ways, although I do miss a lot of the people who have graduated.
October is gearing up to be another cool month, with Anchorman and Halloween episodes on the way.

One month in
Anchoring is practically second nature to me by now. Although I'm still learning every day. Working with Kelsey is awesome and I'm really enjoying the class and the new direction that we have taken the show in.

Battle of the Bands promo
It was very well-received. I was surprised. It was one of the simplest things I've done all year. It just goes to show that sometimes that's exactly was is needed to effectively grasp the audience's attention and get the point across. Not flashy graphics. Not fancy text - especially when it's the same color as the background, tiny, and wordy. Not loud music. Yes, not every promo can be just text against a plain background with no music. But I'm glad that my video had the impact that I intended.
So far
I've been working on lower thirds as always. I did a prom promo and it was kinda funny but I bet no one got the joke. I also made my wipe graphic into a corner bug and I did some graphics for Corey in after affects. I'll try to post that if this thing cooperates.
It'd just like to say
That I reallyy don't like it when Kylie changes the song on my Portlandia opening. It was made to along with the original song. Ugh I'm so annoying Ms Christie I'm sorry
4th nine weeks
The last quarter of the year is an interesting one. At this point the show the show comes together seamlessly, although it still lacks in quality. Anchor is now natural for me and hopefully I'll have the chance to do it again next year.

A small side gig
It may sound lame, but I love making lower thirds. Small-scale projects like that are my specialty. Thats why I've made the wipe logo - a big hit. This week, Courtney asked me to create a spring break countdown clock. I felt pretty comfortable with the task so I took it on and made something really cool.
Spring break show
I'm glad that we're not going with the expected beach theme for the spring break show. The James Bond opening has proved to be a challenge. I'm close to completing my part of it, and Corey is hard at work on his. We'll see how it all turns out. The best part is that the opening can be reused in the future.

A flash of genius
Corey and I came up with a brilliant idea for next week's opening in a matter of seconds. We immediately had a vision so we put in motion and started filming right away. It was a relatively simple shot, but it did have its learning curve. Now we're working on finishing it up.

Portlandia Opening
The final version of my portlandia opening aired on today's show. I'm very satisfied with the way it turned out, although there is room for improvement. I'll be sure to attach the file sometime soon.

Welp
The show could have been better this week. I spent all class period on Thursday working on a promo that didn't make it on the show. I actually did a pretty good job on it, consider it was put together last-minute. Sigh...

Alright I am back
I download the blogger app on my iPod. It should be easier to update the blog from now. These past two weeks I've been working on a new opening for the show based on the opening for the show Portlandia.
It was a tough but fun process. Hopefully the school will like it.
